Hallo,
although I can select fixed position in admin/config/media/colorbox, the colorbox is always position: absolute. What I d like best for a gallery on colorbox is to have a fixed central position which adapts to the screen size.

Media gallery is not using the configuration from the colorbox module and there is no configuration about that (from media_gallery point of view).

The best way would be to get rid of the hardcoded colorbox support and using the colorbox module. See referenced issue.
