There should be a checkbox for the "Label" field formatter that enables absolute URLs when the labels are displayed as links – eg. to be used in a multivalue entityreference field in an RSS feed.

And here's the patch which allows just that. Setting issue to needs-work because of the // TODO: #states line (and most likely for tests).
