Could'nt find any previous (reported) error.

The module HTML mail was already on. I installed Mimemail + Mailsystem and SMTP. Last two gave no error, however the page /admin/config/system/mimemail returned a WSOD.
After adding error-reporting to the settings.php, the WSOD returned following message
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _mimemail_replace_files() (previously declared in messaging_htmlmail.inc:422) in mimemail.inc on line 146
The WSOD disapperead after i de-activated the HTML-Mail module.

First, i put this here to give other searchers a clue: de-activate HTML-mail.
Secondly, shouldn't there be a check if there's a competitive module?

Having the same issue as well.

Disabling messaging_htmlmail module fixes the issue.
