How to get some category for one theme of articles or pages?
How then to create one menu item to link to this category, what in Joomla means Category articles (output articles from specified category) or Category blog (article introduction in a single or multicolumn layout)?
My is Drupal 7,39
I can't find it. Please help.

If you are using a vocabulary to categorize the content, each term has a path of the form taxonomy/term/{tid} where {tid} is the numeric taxonomy term id.

I don't use vocabulary and don't know how to create categories in Drupal. Where is vocabulary? Should I install?
Could you advice some tutorial for Drupal beginner?

You dont have to install anything. Go to Admin / Structure / Taxonomy and create a vocabulary. If you want to add this category to your article content, You must then go to the content type (article) and add a taxonomy field for the vocabulary which you have created.

OK,
I created Vocabulary, added term "Articles". How to add a taxonomy field?
I have three lines in Taxonomy: Articles, Tags, Vocabulary. What to do next?

I want to admit two pages to term (If this is like category?) "Articles" and later to admit them to one menu item

I am reading and don't understand, what is taxonomy field menu ? Is this separate menu? Should I it create, download??? I only need some item to be related to main menu with articles categories.

To create a taxonomy file just go to your content type and then to Mange Fileds tab. There, you can Add a New Field of type taxonomy terms to "categorize" your content (in Drupal parlance Taxonomize)

I went to content types and opened Articles type, Manage fields and added label "straipsniai", and field_straipsniai. (Straipsniai means in Lithuanian articles)
What next to do? When I go to my page I have empty field "straipsniai". What to do with it? How attach my page to category "straipsniai" ?

I feel like in dark forest. Everything is new and incomprehensible...

To Add taxonomy term field.

  • Go to your Content Type say for eg: "Basic page"(admin/structure/types/manage/page)
  • Then Click on Manage Fields
  • Add new field say "category" with field type as "Term Reference" and widget type "autocomplete term widget".
  • Then Save it. You will redirected to field settings. Over there select your vocabulary which you have created and save field settings.
  • Then You will be redirected to Basic page settings. Just click the save settings. If you want this field as required you can enable the checkbox and save it.
  • That is how we create a taxonomy term field.

Now you create two basic page content with category term(node/add/page). If you want any one of the content to admitted to main menu. Then Edit any one of the basic page node, you will see at the bottom left section "Menu setting."

  • Enable the checkbox "Provide a menu link".
  • You can set Menu title and Description. On the Parent item, select which menu item you want to display this node. And save it.

Hope this helps.

I think, I already did it till two last your items.
When I go to one (first) of my pages I have empty field "straipsniai" ( I think this is my category) but what to do with it? what to write in there?
I go other my page (second to the same category) and check the same and choose weight 4 for boths pages
What else I don't write now I get two new items "Apie šį bei tą".

Look at my URL: http://audrone.serveriai.lt/elena/node/8
Both pages should be for one item like introduction of articles in one menu item "Apie šį bei tą"
How to do it?

Edit elena/node/11, In the Menu setting, Parent item select - Trumpai (node/8) .

Empty field if it is the autocomplete field. Just add a letter of term which which you have created for the vocalbulary. It will list over there.

No, this isn't OK. Maybe something I didn't correctly.
I am doing everything first time...
To clear everything:
I open article "Trumpai" node/11 and there is no menu item Trumpai, Parent item is "Apie šį bei tą"
Nothing autocompletes...
I look at vocabulary, sorry which is term?:
straipsniai
Weight for straipsniai

Parent for straipsniai
field_straipsniai Term reference Autocomplete term widget (tagging) edit delete

And when I click to edit it, I see Default value straipsniai and empty field - should I something to write there?
I wrote now "kategorija" and the same in the node/11 - Nothing autocompletes...

Nothing changes. Now there is a submenu :-) and I need to have 2 pages with one category in one item "Apie šį bei tą"

1. For instance another website when I click a link "Articles" I get a page with 7 articles introduction (they all belong to one category) and it reflects menu item "Articles".
http://www.lbks.lt/index.php/en/articles
2. Another way to have link to articles from specified category: menu item "Chronicle" http://www.lbks.lt/index.php/en/chronicle

Sorry, that I demonstrate links, but maybe I am writing not clear what I want...

I am reading and reading various resourses but no result to add two articles to one category and one menu item

  1. Should I write something in "The default value for this field, used when creating new content." ??
  2. Should I write something in empty term fields in my nodes 8 and 11

P.S. I have read that there are category module but was written about many problems with it......

This article helped me
http://www.symphonythemes.com/content/taxonomy-drupal-tutorial-menus-and...
I didn't know, - the important is
To create a taxonomy menu item

On the menus page, select add item, and fill taxonomy/term/x in the path field.
I am investigating all possibilities when things for me became a little clear.

Thank you for help very much.
