7.x-2.27 not supported by drush update

Still an issue with 7.x-2.30

After trying to update to version 7.x-2.30, I get this error too. in

Administration > Site settings > Advanced settings > Site reports > Available updates

I get the message

Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.30
Recommended version: 	7.x-2.30 (2015-Oct-22) 	


Distro Update Manager: physical version 7.x-1.x-dev does not match .make file version 7.x-1.x from commerce_kickstart.
Includes: Commerce Kickstart

Please see #4 and let me know if that is issue. It's slated to be disabled by #2548435: 7.x-2.27 not supported by drush update on next release.

I am having the same issue while updating from 2.32 to 2.33 using drush up.

It is a vanila installation with very few extra modules enabled.
When i go to Administration > Site settings > Advanced settings > Site reports > Available updates i don't get any error messages, just the standard notification that there is a new version for Commerce Kickstart.

I did a new installation of commerce kickstart 2.32 and issued the drush up command(using drush 6.7) and got the same output as before.

I ran 'drush make' to update to latest version (Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.33) and it still complains that it's not the latest version but shows up as the same version as 'not supported'. See attached image.

Oops! sorry, i just remembered i have not updated Drupal to 7.42. Now it is okay.

Can someone here document your upgrade process with drush? Our tests are testing upgrades.

Here's how we upgrade Commerce Kickstart 2.x with drush 8.0.3:

• ssh to your site and navigate to your commerce installation directory
• run this command to download and replace the older installed files, 'drush dl commerce_kickstart'.
• Then run the command, 'drush updatedb' to update the DB

Note:

This only upgrades commerce kickstart packages and does not update Drupal core, which is done separately.

We also encountered an issue. It throws an error when we tried to update the DB (ie, drush updatedb) because of commerce_discount. This happened because commerce_discount module was disabled since we don't use this module. Enable this module fixes the issue. So we ran 'drush en commerce_discount' (to enable the module), then ran 'drush updatedb' again.

just going to the install directory and using the command drush up using drush 8.0.2 and php 5.6

When using this methodoly, we get some warnings

This is a Drush bug with non D8 sites it seems.

Install location profiles/commerce_kickstart already exists. Do you want to overwrite it? (y/n): y

It's not updating Drupal core. In my opinion, if this is the case, you should not use Drush to upgrade. Unless you are using a makefile. Drupal core is stale. I guess this issue is helping identify no one has had updated Drupal core when using Drush.

why is this as fixed. i am getting this error on latest 7.33 and it started on 7.32, can someone post a fix for this please?

You can't just run "drush up" as it only downloads the profile AND NOT Drupal core.

that was not it at all in my case.
the problem i found was colorbox was causing this error. i disabled colorbox and now all works just fine!
