So there have been a lot of changes in the Sendgrid API, for the better. I have made the initial changes to use the latest Sendgrid. I have also forked Sendgrid's latest API to update it to Guzzle 6.x. These changes require Composer for Drupal. Composer is in D8. For Drupal 7 you install Drupal Composer Manager.

If you are interested. I would gladly help to share this code here on D.O. I'm not uploading a patch since it is a large change and I still have a few more things I am going to work on with the module. I want to add reporting charts and other features so I am going to continure working with my Github and Bitbucket repositories.
