Hello: I am not very tech savvy but must update a website created in Drupal 7. Are there are very easy and basic forums out there for how to do basic things, like how to: upload images, how to add/delete from a table of names, create links, etc. I have figured much of it out on my own but still need help for basic updates to my website. Currently, I have not been successful at creating a link to a person's page. I have highlighted the person's name, clicked on the Link button, then browsed for their web page, and copied it in the box and saved it, but it still doesn't work.

There is a mass of documentation on this site. Unfortunately it is not all well organized and not easy to find things. You can search this site using Google rather than the on-site search box. It is also worth having a good look round starting with the Documentation tab at the top of the page.

Learning Drupal is a big job. Personally I am a fan of the paid video tutorials such as buildamodule.com, drupalize.me, lynda.com. Some of the free tutorials are also good, such as from nodeone.se (which is no more, as far as I can see).

How much do you know about managing non-Drupal sites? Drupal is huge and complex system: the so-called 'learning curve' is much easier provided you start with some basic knowledge of how websites work. Maybe start with some basic HTML learning?

Check the format (there may be a select list on your edit form, perhaps below the editor window, offering options for Plain Text, Filtered HTML, and Full HTML). To get all the HTML tags working you need to save the page with Full HTML selected.
