I don't know if this is a config problem on my part - if that turns out to be the case, please feel free to change this to a support request.
I'm using Custom Search with the Drupal Search API. I have the search text box and "Search" button in the upper right corner of each page. As such, there isn't room for the selection dropdown for content types there (the one provided by the Custom Search module). However, on the Advanced search form that appears on the search results page, the content types are listed. I realize that the Advanced search form is (probably) generated by the Drupal Search API, but here's my request:
Have the Custom Search module alter the Advanced search form to restrict the content types to those I've selected in the Custom Search module settings - and to be shown with the selected widget: selection, radios, checkboxes, etc.
The problem is I have *many* content types, but only want to allow five of them to be searched. The list on the Advanced search form is way too long.

loon commentedD7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.
If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
Thanks!
