Hi guys, I'm trying to make a site in which users can post gifts, and other users can suscribe to the gift, and when the time is up, the system picks a random winner, and the "offerer" receives points for giving away stuff.

I've been trying my luck with simple_contest, userpoints, but the first one doesn't seem to work well, I've also tried with webform (but I don't understand it quite well). So, as it doesn't look like a very ridiculous hard thing to do, I was hoping that you could recommend me a more flexible module, may be something not categorized as contest but that could achieve the same effect.

I would try making the 'gift' a node, use flag for subscribing to a gift, userpoints to award the node author, and rules for determining the winner and awarding the points (you should be able to schedule a rule son that when the time arrives you can award the points).

Thanks a lot man, I've been digging into it, and I think I will be able to achieve what I want with those modules. The module rules it's a bit hard to understand but I hope I will understand it.
