Hi, this is a problem on my hosting, I am sure, however, since the beginning of the week I am getting the following error messages on my Drupal site at www.humourauthority.com

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 418591 bytes) in /usr/www/users/netgold/humourauthority.com/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 29

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

It first started to happen once or twice a day, and now it's a regular occurance. Do you think it is simply my web hosts fooling around on my hosting? Does anyone have any ideas about this? I have contacted my web hosts, and they are checking it out, but the quicker I can solve this, the better, as I am currently in the middle of a google advertising campaign which costs me quite a bit of money, and can't afford those visitors to come to deadman's land...

Regards,

Kobus

Hi Korbus,

I experienced the same issue, and this is how my hoster responded to it. I am hosted @ phpwebhosting

Hi,

I have corrected the memory issue for you. We have a "per process" RAM limit set on each server to prevent any one user or process to use all of the server's memory. It was set a little low on your server so I have raised it from 8 to 16 megs. This should solve your memory problem."

PS.This is not a plug nor endorsment, for my needs they are great YMMV.

Thank you, linuksman. I have in the mean time also managed my web host to increase this limitation for me. My site works now. Thanks again!
