Hello, I have ported SMS to Backdrop.

I've left off SendtoPhone, International, and Devel (in the module package, but not tested). May try later, but not yet.
Would be great if you could have a look, and even more so if you could assist with maintaining it.

Dear docwilmot,

now that things have been looking so well for Backdrop it seems that the enthusiasm has worn off.

To revive your spirits look at this:

The gist: Backdrop performs almost like Drupal 6 and 7 but Drupal 8 is way slower (at least by a factor of 2).

(The actual website seems to be down, but the webcache is still available.)

Isn't that reason enough to move ahead under full steam?

PS: I'm counting on you. Now it's Drupal 7. But in a year or two I have to decide: Drupal 8 (hopefully not), Backdrop (my favorite) or WordPress (oh my).
