As I opened the Drupal 8 admin screens for the first time in Windows (chrome), the font stood out. Not in a good way. See the attached screenshots for examples.

I believe the font in use is Lucida Sans Unicode. It looks as if characters were written using a fountain pen on blotting paper. Also, look at eg the D in "Display suite" in LucidaSansUnicode_admin_menu.PNG.

Possibly related issue: #662940: "Lucida Sans Unicode" may match ugly "Lucida Bright" instead of "Lucida Sans"

Windows 8.1, chrome latest (then), probably 43.0.2357.130 m. Clear Type is enabled.

@Heine, thanks for the bug report. If you are no longer having this issue, please close this issue and if possible, leave a comment describing how you fixed it, as it may help others with the same issue.

Due to the age of this issue, and that Windows 8.1 reached end of life in Jan 2023, let's confirm that this problem exists before taking further action.

Is anyone experiencing this problem?

If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
