I have unpublished those comments about a course to pay. The user posted 4 comments like that. I will leave to others to decide about blocking the user. I feel it odd to answer to support or bug reports asking for money, especially when users are not asking him to do anything. (In other words, they aren't requests directed to him directly.)

The user (https://www.drupal.org/u/teachyourselfdrupal) wrote another AD comment.

I was looking for an issue about that user. @kiamlaluno could you reach out to the user and explain the situation and waren him to stop those selfpromotional comments? I am having a family feast and just my mobile at hand.

I wrote the following message to the user.

Hello,
I am writing you because in some of your comments, you make a reference to a course you made for which the link is available after paying $10. Such comments are not welcome on Drupal.org, and repeating them could be considered spamming.

Best regards,
kiamlaluno - Drupal.org webmaster

I have received the warning and have sincerely apologized. I will not continue the behavior. It was not my intent to spam. You can see that I have posted other comments (node/2392031 & node/677514) in which I did not include any link. In fact, in 2392031 the OP thanked me for actually helping him resolve his problem. This was an honest mistake on my part and I once again ask forgiveness.

When I can free up the time, I plan to help out with the documentation, including taking part in the initiative to create a Drupal 8 user guide. Please do not ban this account.

Thank you for replying. First off I want to stress that we don't want to hinder people building a legitimate biz teaching Drupal. Using your signature for this is a legit way to promote your courses (unless we get the feeling that you are replying to old issues or finished discussions just to get your signature out there).
You might even include a link to one of your courses if you disclose that it isn't free and the value of your comment goes beyond simply referring to your course. We had similar discussions in the past and that is the way the decided to handle these things.
Be aware that you are walking a fine line though because your account seemingly is solely that of a teaching biz (i.e. not tied to an otherwise active individual community member). I am going to comb through your unpublished comments from the past weeks to see which posts can be published again.

So, I went through your unpublished comments and left them unpublished because they solely or overwhelmingly were promotional content. I did publish https://www.drupal.org/node/2528274#comment-10094498 but edited the mention of your course out.

Thanks. I was actually going to ask you to republish the comments and then I would edit out the link if I had given an actual suggestion or just delete the comment entirely if I hadn't.

I'm just getting started with the business and will be using the account to contribute to the community by answering questions in the forum and updating / creating documentation.

I am a long standing member of the community (@see vegantriathlete) and intend to be a good citizen with this business account I have created. I will make sure to not go back through old posts just to reply to them and get my signature out there.

Thanks for your understanding. I apologize again for my mistake. Please understand that I did truly believe it was legitimate. I do understand and respect your viewpoint and policy as well.
