A few reasons:

1) We'll get the initial pages committed faster;
2) Easier onboarding of volunteers;
3) More consistent screenshots between related pages written by different people.

We do plan to go back and do the screenshots again. I think we're just hoping for people to make a rough one... should make that clearer.

I just added a note to the project page saying something like "don't worry about perfection", at least. We'll definitely need to wait until D8 is out or close to out to finalize them anyway.

I think this has mostly/hopefully been taken care of by the current Instructions. Which say basically "make some notes about what screenshot to make, and do something rough".

We definitely also have plans to go back at the end and make better, more consistent screenshots.
