Is there any way to make the reset button work on filters that have "Remember the last selection"?

If you change exposed filter options which have remember last selection enabled, then hit reset, the button works as expected.
However, if you change those exposed filter options, then leave the page, then come back and hit reset, it does not work.
If you make a change, and then hit reset, it works again.

you mean to navigate away from the current page (say, to the home page) and then use the browser's back button to return to the view, then this is likely an issue with browser caching regarding how they handle form submission. Some browsers, like Chrome, will cache your entries in a form so that if you accidentally click a link you don't lose all your work.
Also, those options ("remember last selection" and the reset button) are part of Views, not BEF. So this would be an issue for that queue.
