Embedded ruby (.rhtml) as content type?

I would like to use .rhtml (eruby) to scrape some content, negotiate with web servers, and what not. Is there anyway to do it as a content type? I am not a Rails fan. Just Ruby. You guys have done some nice work, haven't been around since 4.x. Many people in the Ruby Community use Drupal and many more would if we could do this. Think of Ruby as a Mutt Language; it loves all languages including human. Love Ya!
