While I'm aware that media_zindex is a variable and it can be adjusted, when used in Wysiwyg Fields it s slightly too low (by 10) for the CKEditor dialog.

drush vset media_zindex 11000
That said: I don't really understand why either of both modules needs such a high z-index. But maybe it's just me.

Wysiwyg Fields needs one that high due to the z-indexes used by CKEditor, it's not by choice but by necessity.
