Why Drupal was chosen:
The Center previously had its website in Joomla 1.4. which used a PHP version 5.2. It was necessary to migrate the site to a CMS that support newer versions of php. Besides that it was a more powerful and secure CMS.
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
To migrate all the content that existed in the old site was necessary to develop a new custom module for Drupal 7 able to migrate all content.
