Hello, I edit a file field and check "Enable Description field", save and edit again and "Enable Description field" is un-checked.

¿Any solution?

Can you please post a bit more detailed steps to reproduce?

I just tried adding a file field locally and the description option is saved for both a new field and when editing an existing field.

I tested this with simplytesteme, Drupal 8.9.11 and a standard install. Made a content type and added a file field. On /admin/structure/types/manage/test/fields/node.test.field_file I enabled description and saved. The setting was saved correctly. Then I navigated to the field settings page and back to the edit page for the field. The setting was still correct. Then I cleared cache and went back to the edit page and the 'Enable description field' was still set. I repeated the whole process with the field disabled. The field only changed when I edited manually.

Therefore, closing as cannot reproduce. If you are experiencing this problem reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and provide complete steps to reproduce the issue (starting from "Install Drupal core").
