Drupal 10, the latest version of the open-source digital experience platform with even more features, is here.Hi,
I have a branch of the 3.x docs project on readthedocs for importing sites. https://github.com/theMusician/documentation/tree/importing-sites
If Remote import, https://www.drupal.org/project/hosting_remote_import, is going to be part of 3.x by default I think that should replace the "from Aegir Backups" content.
I see the new table of contents as follows:
- From a complete Drupal install
- From any site manually
- From an existing Aegir system (this would cover how to use Remote import)
The reason for that order is that the complete Drupal install is a fairly painless process in 1.x and 2.x. The manual site process is doable but I think is easier if someone attempts to do a complete install first. Third, the remote-import is focused at users who most likely have an existing Aegir install and will be using this to migrate from an older environment.
If the approach above is agreeable I will clean up the first two sections and submit a pull request. For the Remote import content I would place a page in the docs with an @todo statement explaining that the page will describe using remote-import once it is included in a 3.x beta or RC.
Thoughts?

I would think this ticket should be either closed or amended to deal with the remote-import procedure if it makes it into the initial 3.x release.
