Hello,

I enabled geolocate client, but nothing happens afterwards. Eg. I am not prompted in my browser to share my location etc. I noticed this question here where they mention a dependency. Is that necessary even for the basic geoclient feature? #1710618: Add a Show client location pointer option in Geolocate Client behavior

Maybe worth trying this module I wrote: https://www.drupal.org/project/openlayers_geolocate_button

It uses the same code as the core geolocate behavior, though, so it might not work either... but it will at least give you something to compare against.
