Upon Istalling drupal v7.37 using Acquia Dev Desktop 2, I came across this issue, where It cannot write file to the host file in my local computer C:/window/driver/etc/host.
.
Is there any way I can fix this? I have given permission to my local account to have full control over this file but I still have problem with it.
Please I really need some help on this.
Thanks in advance,

Not really a drupal question, but right click on the notepad icon in the start menu, and click 'run as administrator', then do file -> open and open your host file.
Login as admin
If the windows users you have logged in with has admin access, you will not face this problem. It's working fine for me.
You can Other option can be to manually enter the values in your host file like:
127.0.0.1 sitename.local
also, the host file exist on "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host", it's different from what you have mentioned above.
