OSIS is a more broadly supported format than BC. Adding support for it will allow us to expand the web import capability to allow sources other than drupalbible.org (to which none of us have administrative access).

I was hoping there might already be a PHP project to support OSIS parsing, but if there is, I could not find it.

I started work this afternoon on a PHP library for parsing OSIS files. I was going to subscribe to the OSIS mailing list, but it appears to no longer be active. I have an email out to Patrick Dursenau to find out the current status of the OSIS project.
