Hi,

In a Drupal site set up as a blog, I would like guidance on ways to best enable people to subscribe to, comment on, and share in social media accounts.

Searching around I've found a couple of ways to do this but concerned about ease of access to people following my blog and integration with social media channels.

I found Disqus https://www.drupal.org/project/disqus, and there is of course mailchimp integration. But I sense there is an overlap with social media accounts etc.

Depends on what you mean by subscribe, but I usually use comment_notify or the rules and flag modules. For comments i use standard drupal core comments. There's also subscriptions, simplenews, and newsletter modules. Fora more thorough comparison see:
