Hi,

I would like to have a public space/section that can be seen by all the people but ONLY a group in the web can edit it (create contents in it). Is it possible to do in oa2? I describe the use case and configuration below:

Public Space:
All the people can see it (even anonymous, sometimes this is good for marketing SEO).
But only the members can post or modify contents.

Configuration: (become private space)
I set the space public. When I add a private group (basically the group would not see each other in this group) to the space. The space becomes NOT public. The anonymous user cannot access it anymore.

Yes, absolutely. In a public space everybody can see it, but only Members can create/edit content. Don't make it private...keep it Public! If you want to use a Group to control edit, just create a Group and make it a Parent of the public space. Then anybody who is a Member of the Group will become a Member of the space and will be able to create/edit content.

This should work out-of-the box with Atrium. So I'm not sure how the Public space doesn't do what you want unless I misunderstand your requirements.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for your detail explanation.
For Public Space, I cannot reproduce it now. It happened long time ago. I will create another post if I found something new.

About public section, after few tests, I got your point now:

In a public space,
If a public section is needed and some groups can edit it, add the groups in the SPACE.
If a private section is needed, add specific group in the section (Section Visibility field).

I am very happy that it is clear now.
