I can create content from the "create content" option, and give it a title.
That shows up. But any other text I put in the box below the title - i.e., about my site.. never shows up.
Clicking on Read More shows nothing?
Now I am a very new user to Drupal - but surely something as simple as adding content to a front page should be simple as ???
I'm trying this at http://www.chalmers.com.au/drupal/ if anyone wants to have a look - it't virtually blank because I can't get anything but headings to display there ... :-)

Hello ShanghaiTimes,
Hello ShanghaiTimes,
If you want to show the text below the title then you have to add a field by any desirable name in the content type. you can follow the given path:- structure->content-type->manage-field->add field.
After this field will show on every node.

Might be fixed
Well, I'm not sure but I seem to have fixed the problem. Not sure how - but it does now display the Body of the About This Site page where I want it.
I have no idea how I made it display - but it does.
