I just updated to 7.x-2.8 and now all of the Titles of my Node Teasers are missing. Example: http://liberalgeek.com/ (edit: I've rolled back to my previous version of DS and the titles are back. I've added a screenshot showing the problem instead)

Each of the boxes on that page should have the title as the first item in the box. When I go to Manage Display, the Title field is entirely missing from the available options.

There is almost no difference between 2.7 and 2.8 so the problem is probably related to an environment issue on your side.
Did you update other stuff as well?
Are you sure you don't have any caching issues?
