OA2 2.41 fresh full (standard) install (the long way) with a new fresh DB.
Install requirements fulfilled (the host machine previously hosted OA 2.40-rc1), no issue on the "file" folder so far. During Step 8 "Verify Apps support" the install procedure reported (this always happened) that SSH2 was not enabled but FTP and Web Server Direct Install yes (nothing relevant to block any applications/modules install).

During Step 9 "Install apps" I deselected some Core Addons (as example: "Open Atrium Sandbox" and "Open Atrium Tour") and selected some External Apps to be installed automatically as part of install process.

Deselected Core Addons were not installed, as expected.

Of four External Apps selected:

  • Open Atrium Date Repeat
  • Open Atrium Print
  • Open Atrium MultiUpload
  • Open Atrium MailHandler

once the install process finished (the push-button "Install Apps" was pressed just one time on the "External Apps" tab) without any error I noticed that only the "Open Atrium MailHandler" external application was installed and enabled automatically (although without the "Mail Mail Comment Message Notify" module required by "MailHandler" so Status Report reports that issue every time), others (Date Repeat, Print and MultiUpload) show up as "Available" because they weren't installed automatically as expected (a drush pm-list shows them as "Not Installed").

I can install them manually...so it's not a big issue for me...I just want to understand if I've missed anything during the Step 9 "Install apps" phase.

Edit:

For sure this behaviour is not an Issue at all but it has to do with (deselected) required modules...these will deny some (Built-In/Core/External) modules to be installed due to lack of requirements (as example: the Built-In application "Open Atrium Work Tracker" was not installed even if it was checked because I manually disabled the automatic install of the Core addon "Open Atrium Clone" which is, among others, a required module for Open Atrium Work Tracker).

Maybe an enhancement could be that, at install phase, a warning message or just a request to "re-activate what is necessary/required" is displayed in order to correct the installation of all undesired/desired modules fulfilling their various requirements.

Kind regards, Davide.
