My drupal site runs on the same server but different port to my tomcat7 webapps. When doing a POST request from my drupal site to my webapp (BIRT viewer runtime), I get this error:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: The viewing session is not available or has expired.

I installed the CORS module, but struggle to find any information on how to configure to make this work. Or should I do something else to solve this?

The error only appears in safari and IE, not in chrome or FF.

Using Drupal 7.36 on Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu).

Any help much appreciated.

Had to replace all ip codes with new domain name in script.
