Hello community,

I created a SLD styling for Multipolygons (stored in PostGIS) in QGIS's Style Editor by classification based on attributes stored in a PostgreSQL column. I followed Cartaro's documentation.
In QGIS 2.8.1 I exported the style as SLD. The SLD XML vers. is 1.1.0. There is no choice to export it as SLD 1.0.0.

I imported the SLD 1.1.0 document into the SLD area of my OpenLayers WFS layer. The imported SLD 1.1.0 document is not working in Cartaro's OpenLayers Map. The Map crashes.
If you create a new GeoServer WFS layer and specify the SLD 1.1.0, the GeoServer module doesn't transfer the SLD XML to the OpenLayers layer. The SLD input area in OpenLayers WFS layer is empty.
So, I suppose Cartaro's GeoServer module and/ or OpenLayers module are incompatible to SLD 1.1.0 whilst GeoServer works fine with SLD 1.1.0 documents.

I imported also another SLD style vers. 1.0.0 into my OpenLayers WFS layer and the SLD 1.0.0 is not working in the OpenLayers Map. OpenLayers ignores the SLD and uses the default style. If I create a new GeoServer WFS layer and specify the SLD 1.0.0, the GeoServer module transfers the SDL 1.0.0 documents to OpenLayers WFS layer but the SDL style is ignored by OpenLayers module. It uses the default style.
(Both SLDs are validated by GeoServer instance and working with GeoServer.)

Is there a trick to get SLDs 1.1.0 and/or 1.0.0 working for OpenLayers WFS layers in Cartaro?

I'm wondering if styling of vector data by classification based on attributes with SLDs is even possible in OpenLayers or Cartaro.

Could you provide an example of a Shapefile and a corresponding SLD style working in Cartaro for testing, please?

Thank you in advance!

Ciao,

Izabella

Hello,

there were no replies for recent support requests for Cartaro and the OpenLayers Module.
Will these projects no longer be supported?

Unfortunately, I don't think, that Cartaro has a bright (and well maintained) future. I asked the same question in December 2014, only to get answer 3 months later. Cartaro representative stated:

A lot has been going on under the hood. New features as well as an updated roadmap will be available in the next weeks..

Well, I think that speaks for itself.
