Excellent module that surprisingly I have only just discovered: quite clear, and will save me plenty of painful navigation. Thanks a lot!

This is a very minor, almost cosmetic bug, and rather funny to report since it regards the behaviour of the module against itself!

Having just installed it, I found that:

  • the "New" tab exposes Module filter, as expected
  • but the "Recent" tab remains disabled, with the mention "No modules were enabled or disabled within the last week"

So the module is seen as just installed, but not as just activated!
Nevertheless, having deactivated then activated it, I now get it normally mentioned in the "Recent" tab, as expected.

This wrong behaviour seems to be a wider issue, as demonstrated in the site recently built from scratch by a colleague: though he installed and activated all its components in the same day, Module filter reports:

  • in the "All" tab: 70 of 109
  • in the "New" tab: 70 of 109 (the same as above, as expected)
  • in the "Recent" tab: 3 of 6

Maybe I missed something that would explain how the "Recent" tab considers modules, actually reducing its list?

EDIT

I just realized that yes, there is a "good" reason for the "Recent" modules list to be reduced: clearly, by design, only are considered those modules which have been deactivated at least once.

So now I'm hesitating: strictly technically talking it is not a bug, but a feature.
And the "x of y" formula should then be interpreted so that "x" modules have been recently activated among the "y" ones which were deactivated in the same period.
Seems not really intuitive for me.

Also I can't realize how this kind of information may be useful that way: instead I would expect merely to know that there were "x" modules activated and "y" modules deactivated in the period.
Anyway I don't claim to own the truth and I think this issue requires many advices.

With D10 now out going to putting all the focus on the 4.x version of this module supporting D9 + D10.

Will keep an on the 7.x-2.x branch for reviews but no active work will probably happen
