Problem search box grayed out until you log in

It appears that you can't search for a solution to a
problem until you login to the Open Atrium forum.

Wouldn't it be less cumbersome to be able to search
before logging in?

I suppose you could go over to Google and search
that way:

http://www.google.com/search?q=some+Open+Atrium+problem+site%3Adrupal.or...

I just don't understand why this needs to be blocked. It
makes searching harder, not easier.
