mikeryanThat's been in migrate 7.x-2.x-dev for quite a while (close to 3 years now, I think. The long cycle for 2.6 might mean if you stick to official releases you wouldn't have seen it until that was finally released a year ago.
So, yes, your UI addresses this need for D8. I'm postponing this issue unless/until we figure out how to integrate the two UIs.
