Al I want is the TinyMCE editor. Do I have to install and run Drupal on the server?

Thanks for your response. I don't totally know what Drupal is all about but I'll learn what I need to learn. We want tinymce for our site so users can enter marked-up content. Bold, underlined, different fonts, number lists, etc. Does that make sense? I'm assuming it can be used as a separate component and that it's output is HTML that can be displayed on a page. Maybe that's a bad assumption. Thanks!

You certainly don't need drupal to use TinyMCE.
If you have an existing site, and your site is not drupal based
and all you need is TinyMCE then just get it from here:
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/

You better read what drupal is, get started here:
