I just installed the theme MAYO v7.x-2.5 on Drupal v 7.35 Having a problem getting the background image to appear in the header. I'm running this on a remote hosting service and have limited access to the server file system. Here are some errors which are coming out of the apache logs:

[Mon Apr 06 14:40:55 2015] [error] [client ] File does not exist: /home/zenohpyl/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://zeno334.com/zeno/?q=admin/appearance/settings/mayo&render=overlay
[Mon Apr 06 14:40:55 2015] [error] [client ] File does not exist: /home/zenohpyl/public_html/sites, referer: http://zeno334.com/zeno/?q=admin/appearance/settings/mayo&render=overlay
[Mon Apr 06 14:40:54 2015] [error] [client ] File does not exist: /home/zenohpyl/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://zeno334.com/zeno/?q=admin/appearance/settings/mayo&render=overlay
[Mon Apr 06 14:40:54 2015] [error] [client ] File does not exist: /home/zenohpyl/public_html/logo.png, referer: http://zeno334.com/zeno/?q=admin/appearance/settings/mayo&render=overlay

Everything seems to work ok with out the background image. However when I supply either a .jpg or .png my site name and slogan disappear and the header background is all white.

I saw where this same issue has happened on MAYO 7.x-1.2 and previous but don't see this issue lately. I tried disabling the overlay.module in the modules status panel...no effect.

Any ideas on how to fix this on v7.x-2.5?

Limited access to the server files could make it rough. Your error messages really don't say anything about the header background image, but the fact that logo.png does not show either makes me wonder if the two problem images are on the server. You may want to rethink the location of your site. It's good to have all the access you can get and hosting support that's very good.

I changed this to a support request as if it was a true bug we probably would know it already. If you want you can attach your header background image and I'll test it on one of my Mayo sites.

I see you are a paddler. Me too.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm uploading the .jpg I want to use as a file.

I've been digging around a bit and have found a couple of new pieces of information. First, I do have a File Management utility that provides visibility and update capability through a Cpanel interface. I also have FTP/SFTP access which I have not yet configured.

And, I do see the .jpg which I sent to you earlier. That file now resides in /zeno/sites/default/files

So I guess I have 3 questions....First, how / what process moves my .jpg from where it is to where it is supposed to be?
Second, where is the background image located and what might its name be?
Third, there is a file called logo.png in /zeno/sites/all/themes/mayo I downloaded it and in
windows viewer it shows up blank ... just like my background ???
I may be off base here but I thought I would pass along what I now know.

Thanks again for your help!

Your background image is in the proper place. I uploaded it temporarily here. As you can see it is only showing the top of the image and repeating horizontal. You would need to either change the size of the header or the image to make it work. It is uploaded to the right place though and available to be displayed.

As far as the goes it should be in the same place if you uploaded it using "Upload logo image" in Mayo admin. Check your settings in there.

Still having troubles... My header height is 320 px so I've created a new background image and exported it as a .png and it is 1193 x 322 pixels attaching it also. I've uploaded this file and have the same results as before. I have selected multiple alignment options but none seem to work....ie I still get a white header background and no site name and no site slogan.

The apache error messages have changed somewhat however. Here are the new ones:
[Tue Apr 07 14:08:17 2015] [error] [client 74.70.218.207] File does not exist: /home/zenohpyl/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://zeno334.com/zeno/?q=admin/appearance/settings/mayo

Are my expectations out of line here? Am I trying to make this feature do something it doesn't do?

I can't really do much more without seeing your drupal admin. If you would want me to give it a look send access via my drupal.org contact form.
