I only have 3 Open Calais categories in the Open Calais tab now. A few weeks ago, though, I was getting a whole page of categories (and taxonomies).
Could this be related to the fact that Calais shut down the linked data cloud? Yesterday, they reported that:
"As of today (4/1/2015), we are shutting down our existing linked data cloud in order to prepare for the availability of a new linked dataset on April 21. Calls made by the API will resolve to the following URI: http://d.opencalais.com/." See: http://www.opencalais.com/blog
THE DETAILS:
I have 7.x-1.0-alpha2 installed. Previously, I had a whole page of categories (such as Technology, Province or state, Organization, Country, etc., etc. etc.) in the Content Type's "Open Calais" tab and in my Taxonomy list.
Yesterday (Apr 1), I went into my content types and content, and could only see 3 categories: "Calais Document Category; "Events Facts"; and "Social Tags" in the Open Calais tab. I could still see all of the previous taxonomies in the taxonomy list, though. Needless to say, my content is only being tagged with these 3 categories.
I have tried deleting the taxonomies, re-installing modules, etc., etc. But, still, I only see the 3 categories.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Thanks!
Bobbi

bobbia CreditAttribution: bobbia commentedThanks, BrandonHundt! I have not been able to fix this, either.
Did this issue appear on April 1st for you, also? If so, we might be able to isolate this to OpenCalais' new linked dataset change that occurred in April, 2015.

ElusiveMind CreditAttribution: ElusiveMind commentedI have a new working version of the Open Calais module on a fork on GitHub. I am re-working some of the code there and you can check that out as you need to.

ElusiveMind CreditAttribution: ElusiveMind commentedThis is due to changes in the OpenCalais API. We now must deal with a hard-wired list as is on github. From Thompson Reuters:
-----------
The new API will not return a list of supported concepts, but you can find this information the API user guide, which can be found here.
Thanks.
