I can select it and the jQuery wheel appears but actually nothing more is happening.
I wonder if this might be related to https://www.drupal.org/node/2218975 as my setup is to use a responsive grid display displaying a display suite view mode. I chose "force using fields" and added the field I want to filter.
I already added the mentioned patch (different line though) but it does not work.
