No way to respond to dialog events; Re-attach behaviors on dialog show/hide

I'd like to be able to, for example, add a class to &ltbody> when a dialog opens and closes.
The Drupal Way&tm; to do that would be to call attach behaviors when opening and closing the dialog.

Is there an alternative that works with the existing module?
If not, I think there should be.
