If users are copy/pasting email addresses in to registration forms, they often end up with spaces on either side that they're not aware of.

We should be smart enough to handle that for them.

This patch simply trims the email address before validating or using it.

Great patch @Ian Clysdale - I've applied it to 7.x-1.x-dev and it will be in the 7.x-1.4 release.
