Just a heads up that I saw odd behaviour today.

#drush en feeds_tamper
feeds_tamper has the following unmet dependencies...do you want to download them?
#y
and feeds 7.x-2.0-alpha4 (a very old version) was downloaded instead of the expected feeds 7.x-2.0-alpha8
