How to hide events with a very long duration (months) ?

Didn't find any places where this is documented, so sorry if it's a duplicate.

How can I filter out events that have a "long" duration (where start date and end date are more that 10 days appart for example)?

Use case : we have an event calendar where people can post short events (like a conference that span 3 days). But users can also announce a 6 months conference cycle.

The calendar gets too crowded with those long events (that show on every single day for 6 months), so I'd like to filter them out, and show them separately (on another list).

Can this be done ?
