Highlight active elements in admin tables

The fields- and facets- tabs on view-index admin pages like /admin/config/search/search_api/index/product_displays/facets
are hard to work with, as they might be very long tables, with only a few rows in use.
I think highlighting these with checkboxes checked could improve navigation greatly.

Any reasons against the idea?
What would be the drupal way to do something like that?
I'd think adding a class to the rows? Or via some JS without altering the default output?
