Views Exposed Grouped filter autocomplete function

I have a support request for the Drupal Views gods. I have a table coming into Drupal from an external MS SQL database and it is formatted in Views table format. I have a long list of names it needs to have in a dropdown filter. Now the only way to put those names into the exposed grouped filter is manually. But the name list is fluid and changes constantly. Is there a way I can point the grouped dropdown filter list into the name column in table and have it autocompleted? Any help is appreciated.
