We recently completed the site for Garage Sale Trail - a community/sustainability event that originated in Australia - and have completed the accompanying case study for the site.

Cool project and interesting case study. As it currently is written is explains the site very well from an untechnical perspective. I think the case study would benefit if you could get a bit more specific how you achieved certain functionality. I am going to write up some questions and ideas and post them here.
Overall I think we can get this case study to featured status.

As I already said I like this case study a lot but I think it would be even better if it provided more Drupal specific information. If you don't want to change too much in the "Describe the project" segment most additions might be appropriate in the "modules" segment. The minor issue we might have is that the case study effectively describes a site that is currently in a different state as you are not in the "hot phase". But I think the screenshots help to overcome that. If you have additional images feel free to add them.

Some areas you could dive into:

1) As performance is always an important topic you could lay out what you did on the the drupal side, which caching system you used and how you integrated Amazon Webservices.

2) Tracking of Media mentioning: did this happen "in drupal"?

3) Custom dashboards: This might be part of your Panels/Panelizer set-up which should be mentioned anyways imho.

4) Talk a bit about your theme. Did you use a basetheme or is it completely custom?

5) Your search set-up and views set-up seems to be highly sophisticated. If you have some screenshots you could add some sentences about these things.
