Add new functionality from last 6 months work

A non-drupal project utilizing the imager module has pulled me away from this environment. I've made some changes to the imager module but haven't committed any of them. This issue is a catch-all for changes made over the last 6 months and bring the project current again.

• The image can be panned off screen. Zooming can also make the image smaller than the viewing area. This has been fixed, zooming can not go smaller that the viewing area and panning stops once the image hits the side of the viewing area.
• Editing the file entity fields does not work on all edit widget types. This involves extracting the information from the field using JavaScript and using AJAX to store the information back to Drupal. I have this working for the fields I use in my application, however this is still not a general solution.
