working randomly

In drupal 7 using custom theme from "black_premium" exclude node title works normally except for login block and custom content type created for login page in main menu. No amount of clearing cache or changing browser fixes this. Tried to start afresh by deselecting content type from exclude node title and noted when changed to no nodes and saved although no nodes selected, all the pages remained selected so deselected them to start again and still no fix. Also noted when both login block title and custom content type title selected in exclude node title although it is not working and still displays in page, there is no title displayed in edit mode.
