Hi,

is my understanding correct that you can have same label for two, or more fields in the same content type, and once set, and saved it (the label) can't be edited?

The labels may be the same only if you are kin on editing the machine name(col name) of an entity/content type then same label names must be possible to implement.
Thanks to drupal validation, if there is a duplicate you will be warned. The syntax for machine name is (field_label name).

You should be able to edit the label, though am not sure for fields marked "Required", i haven't been kin on them.

No problems in editing machine name; indeed I knew about machine name, and its syntax, just wanted to make sure about labeling, and you confirmed that.

I'll wait for confirmation about editing it, as if I recall correctly from a test it seems that when a field has data in it, it can't be edited, and I am wondering if it applies to any part of it, or just the machine name.
