When translating a node that has a menu item, setting the menu title on the translated node overwrites the original node's menu title instead of creating a translation of the menu item. The only way to translate the title is directly on the menu item from the menu settings page.
I've been going through the existing roadmaps/tasks but I can't find this exact issue. Has this been addressed somewhere else?

quietone CreditAttribution: quietone as a volunteer commented@mducharme, thank you for reporting this problem.
I have tested this on Drupal 8.9.6, on simplytestme, and am not able to reproduce the problem.
I enabled a second language, Italian, and enabled translation for the page content type and menu links. Then I added a page and a link for that page. Then I added an Italian translation for that new node and edited the menu link on the node edit page. On save, the translated menu link was saved as a translation of the original English. I confirmed the link was translate by checking at admin/structure/menu/item/3/edit/translations.
Therefore, closing as cannot reproduce. If you are experiencing this problem reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and provide complete steps to reproduce the issue (starting from "Install Drupal core").
Thanks!
