Not all the the themes in my file manager are available on the Enabled Themes page - how do I fix this?

Are you sure all the themes
Are you sure all the themes are the same version as your version of Drupal?
I am new to Drupal and have been asked
to host a site developed in Drupal.
The theme is a one-page image using code to create links and image rotators - very pretty.
Eye candy...
But the theme seems to be missing the .info, at least that what the installer in the Appearance page is telling me.
So I installed it directly in the Sites/Themes folder - and still not working.
Can you direct me to a tutorial on one-page sites so I can evaluate what I need for the .info file?
many thanks,
t
