Client claims the site always sets shipping in 2 packages instead of one.

How to change that. THey are selling jewelry, so you dont need 2 boxes?

Why is this happening at all.

Make sure you are using the all-in-one packaging strategy and make sure that the package quantity is set to a reasonable number for each product.

the quantity I dont know where to set, I use Drupal 6

Maximum quantity package is set for all products to 50

I updated the site to latest versions, all modules, including ubercart, still the same problem

if I add one item even lets say 200 pieces, i get one package

200 x item 1
1x item 2

still one package

as soon as I add 3 items to cart I get 2 boxes

this does not make sense

I can order 300 items of one item, everything will go in 1 box

but if I order three different products, I always get 2 boxes....

I never got 3 boxes for some reason, even if i order like 2000 pieces of same item

Please help, this is really critical

Support requests are *never* critical. Please read the issue queue handbook, link can be found below.

It is not a bug - it is your configuration. Version doesn't make a difference.

Ubercart doesn't put things in packages. Rather, shipping quotes modules determine their quotes based on how many boxes they think the order needs. Each shipping quotes module does it differently. You haven't mentioned which one you use, or specified what settings you're using for that module (including the per-product settings like package quantity and item weight.) You haven't provided debugging output from the shipping module - that would make it obvious what information you're using for the quote and would probably make it obvious where the problem is. You haven't even said how you know its using 2 packages instead of 1. Perhaps a weight that is set too high, or a dimension that is too large, or one is a small package and the other is an envelope, etc. Perhaps you have contributed modules which affect the quote process. These are things that *you* have to look at.

We use UPS shipping module, only UPS

I don't know how to do a debug of shipping module

I put all the setting in Photoshop jpeg file

attached below, if I missed something I can add more

I was thinking that the problem is becaue we use small packages, will a big package fix things? But maybe the shipping would be more expensive if we use big box?

We sell jewelry, so everything fits in one box always, but Drupal always uses two boxes

I think you should know what is going on because you made the module, and just tell us that you cant fix it so I can finally give answer to my client!

It's your configuration, not a bug. If you follow my suggestions above you should be able to find out what is causing this. In particular, look at the debug output like I said.

I am closing this issue. The Ubercart issue queue is meant for bugs and feature requests, not support. This is explained quite clearly on the page where you create a new issue. Please do not reopen this again, as I am not going to volunteer to do the work that YOU are getting paid for.

It took me like 30 minutes to take all screenshots, put them in photoshop etc, and you did not even bother answering so I had to create another thread to beg you to reply here??

it is always this ubercart that is causeing problem

and now I have to hire some indian and give him access to my database and site, yeah very safe......
